
Crisci Daniela
Daniela Crisci, born May 7, 1985, is a biologist specializing in Clinical Pathology and Clinical Biochemistry. She currently is one of the technical coordinators at the CEINGE Laboratory of the Regional Center for Newborn Screening (Campania Region), headed by Professor Margherita Ruoppolo.. Since 2022, she has held the position of company safety manager, also performing organizational supervision and training functions.
She earned a Master's Degree in Medical Biotechnology from the University of Naples "Federico II" with honors (110 cum laude), focusing in her experimental thesis on the molecular basis of methylmalonic acidemia. She qualified as a biologist in 2012 and is a member of the National Association of Biologists (Section A).
Over the years, she has gained solid experience in expanded newborn screening, with particular expertise in tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and metabolomics, participating in research projects of national and international importance. Her scientific output includes numerous peer-reviewed publications in indexed journals and contributions to international conferences on the topic of inherited metabolic diseases.
Daniela is a member of the Italian Society for the Study of Hereditary Metabolic Diseases and Neonatal Screening (SIMMESN) and has been part of the same society's "International Cooperation" working group since 2023. She has also served as a technical commissioner in regional tenders for healthcare services related to newborn screening.
She speaks fluent English (C1 level) and French (B2 level) and continues to further her education through regular participation in courses, conferences, and specialized schools.
